Is boosting a Depop listing still profitable?

This is more useful than looking at the boost percentage alone because the same percentage can have a very different impact on a low-margin item than on a high-margin item.

Base Depop selling fees are not charged to sellers in these three markets under the current supported rules, although payment processing and boosting can still apply.

Why Depop shipping changes the boost calculation
When you arrange shipping yourself, the applicable shipping amount can be included in the Boosted Listing fee base. Depop Shipping labels are treated differently under the current boost policy, so the calculator asks how the order is shipped rather than applying one fee base to every sale.
Payment processing follows its own fee base and can include item price, shipping and applicable taxes. Keeping the two fee calculations separate gives a clearer profit comparison.
Worked example: the cost of a boosted sale
Select the seller country and shipping method before entering the item price, shipping charged, costs and any estimated tax. Payment processing is applied to its own fee base; boosting is calculated separately. Boosted profit equals unboosted profit minus the boost fee.
For a supported new US listing sold for $50, with no shipping charged or tax, $15 product cost and $5 seller-paid shipping, the stored model gives $2.10 processing and a $6.00 boost fee. Estimated profit falls from $27.90 unboosted to $21.90 boosted.
The comparison measures one order's cost, not whether boosting will generate additional sales. Listing dates, attribution rules and shipping-label arrangements can change actual charges; older listings should be checked against Depop's policy.
